Additional Learning Challenges

Additional Learning Challenges

The resources below are provided to build on what we are learning in class and develop fluency.  They will not be routinely marked or checked but children are very welcome to use their homework books to record learning they have done at home.

  • Common Exception Words - these are a list of words that children are expected to spell correctly in their writing by the end of Key Stage 1.
  • Maths Retrieval Questions - these link to the Mastering Number Project that we are a part of and aim for children to show, notice and verbalise basic number facts at speed.  Please encourage the children to use the stem sentences where indicated.  Please use in slide show mode as the slides are animated.
  • Times Tables Rock Stars - use the jamming option and select 10, 2 or 5 times tables to practise what we have been learning in school.  Passwords will be stuck into homework books
