Admissions

Admissions:

Brightwalton is a welcoming village school, set in an idyllic location, where each child is seen as an individual. We are a small school which offers big opportunities!  The children have made a virtual tour for you as they are currently unable to show you round themselves. Thankyou very much to:

  • Wellingtonia Class for creating the content
  • Mrs Herrington, our Chair of Governors, for supporting the filming
  • Tom Herrington, an ex-pupil, for supporting the editing
  • Mr de Chazal, one of our parents, for taking the drone shots

If you would like your child to attend our school, please see full details of our admission arrangements below.

How to join us...

  • If you are looking for a Reception or Primary School place for your child please contact us if you would like to visit the school
  • We do recruit many children from beyond our catchment area as we are based in a small village.
  • People relocate, so places throughout the school do come up at all times of the year. It is always worth applying for a place.
  • We are convenient for working parents, located within easy access of Newbury, Wantage and beyond, and offering both a Breakfast Club and Tea Club.

As a Voluntary Aided church school, we are our own admissions authority but all admissions are managed through the West Berkshire admission teams.

Starting school for the first time?

Please complete the application form for reception places on the West Berkshire website by 15th January 2021 for admission in the following September. We have had to postpone our open morning in the Autumn term but please do watch the virtual tour made by our children.
