Friends of Brightwalton

FOBS is the catchy acronym given to the wonderful group of parents, carers, guardians and staff who make up the Friends of Brightwalton School. FOBS is headed up by a Committee of dedicated volunteers who have theirs and your children’s best interests at heart.

The Committee always welcome new parents to get involved and greatly value everyone’s thoughts and ideas. Being an active member of FOBS is a great way to be more involved in school life, offering parents the opportunity to get to know other families and contribute a little of their time towards enhancing the childrens’ experience of school and setting a great example to the children of how to “shine your light”.

What We Do:  We are passionate about our school  and helping our children be the best they can be. Over the years we have raised money to help the school in numerous ways thanks to the huge effort from children, parents and staff. We always welcome any new ideas and as little or as much support as anyone could offer.

Our usual events and initiatives to raise money are:

· Party in the Playground  · Christmas Fayre  · Easter Bunny Bingo  · May Village Fete

· Movie Nights  · Discos  · Cake & Ice Lolly Sales  · Sponsored Events & Competitions  · Second hand Uniform Sales  · Brightwalton's Got Talent

Every year we fund:

  •  Book Bags for Ash Class new starters
  •  Leavers Hoodies for Year 6
  •  Bi-annual Pantomime trip
  •  Ice lollies for all children on Sports Day
  •  Cost of Village Hall hire for Sports Day
  •  Supplies to enrich classroom learning

We are currently raising money for a new Outdoor Learning Space for the School, which all pupils will benefit from for years to come.

This year we launched our Social Media Channels and you can easily find us on FB and Instagram - with current and up to date news.
