Welcome to Wellingtonia Class!

Wellingtonia Class are our Year 5 and 6 children and, as we progress through Key Stage 2 the emphasis switches to secondary readiness, ensuring children are able to use their skills fluently in an increasingly challenging and outward-looking curriculum.

Staff

Our teachers are Mrs Kelly and Mr Helsby.

Mrs Lyford, Miss Fisher and Miss Ewers also work in our class.

SATs revision for the Easter holidays.

If your child is in year 6, they will be sitting SATs texts the week commencing 13th May 2024.    To help with this we have provided them with revision books for English reading, grammar and punctuation and maths.

In addition, maths based questions have been sent home targeting certain topics.   They can use the information in the books to help them answer each question.     Below is a link to a website with past SATs questions and if you scroll down to the maths there are three excellent 'walk through videos' showing the children how to answer each question.    Download the papers and have a go!

• Clear plastic water bottle (named).
• PE kit to be brought in on Monday and taken home for washing on Friday - all items to be clearly named.
• Book bag to transport any homework, reading book and homework diary.  

    All other equipment will be provided in school.
